CROMACH

Picture
As a registered charity, sometimes the Craignish Community Company is a useful intermediary while local third sector organisations get up and running.
Craignish Restoration of Marine and Coastal Habitats – CROMACH for short – is a community group that was set up in 2016 to encourage and promote sustainable use of local waters for recreation, fishing and other marine activities, and encourages and carries out research and hands-on education.
They have also launched a very successful trial project to re-establish native oysters in Loch Craignish.
C3 has acted as a go-between for funding of CROMACH projects, including the purchase of dive equipment and training to enable research into the local marine environment. Find out more/sign up at www.facebook.com/cromach/
