Protecting your data

Our Articles require that we may need to share our membership Register (name, address, approximate year/date of joining, membership type) from time to time e.g. for registering an interest under the ‘Community Right to Buy’ scheme.

In order to do this we need your consent.

Please be reassured that, apart from any government requirement, our membership details may only be given out under specified conditions, set out in our new Articles:

“(The Register) shall be open for inspection by both the Board and the Members, and, with the express prior written approval of the Director or employee concerned, by members of the public.”

So if you are happy to continue to be a C3 member, and to confirm that we can, from time to time, share your membership details, please complete the form at the bottom of this page


Membership categories

Ordinary Membership

​Individuals aged 18 and over who:
(a) are ordinarily resident in the Community; and
(b) are entitled to vote at a local government election in a polling district that includes the Community or part of it; and
(c) who support the Objects;
Ordinary members are eligible to stand for the Board and to vote at any general meeting.
Extended Membership
​

Individuals who are not ordinarily resident in the Community but who support the Objects.
Extended Members should be proposed and seconded by 2 Ordinary Members on their application for membership and it is at the discretion of the Board to accept or reject such application.
Extended Members are eligible to vote at any General Meeting.




Junior Membership
​

Individuals who are aged between 12 and 17 who support the Objects. Junior Members are neither eligible to stand for election to the Board nor to vote at any General Meeting. Junior members must have the signed consent of a parent or guardian.

Associate Membership
​

Those organisations, wherever located that support the objects. Associate members are neither eligible to stand for election to the Board, nor to vote at any General Meeting. Each member which is an organisation shall appoint one named, Authorised Representative to represent and act for such member at all General Meetings.

All members are required to pay £1 should the company be wound up.
