Company of Wolves.  11th October, Craignish Village Hall

22/9/2016

Company of Wolves presents A Brief History of Evil

"Created and performed by Ewan Downie and Jonathan Peck, with directorial assistance from Al Seed, A Brief History of Evil combines Company of Wolves’ electrifying movement style with the vulnerability, mockery, and satire of clown and buffon. The result is a performance that is dangerous, relentless, and very, very funny."

A hilarious and mesmerising duet about lies and where they can lead us.

Who hasn’t embroidered the truth or pretended to be someone they’re not? When the lies are stripped away, who is left? When we look in the mirror, who looks back? Which version is really us?

A Brief History of Evil combines electrifying movement with vulnerability, mockery, and satire in a white-knuckle ride to an unknown destination: what happens when we listen to the voices inside us? Or don’t?

The show will be followed by an informal question and answer session with the cast, a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake!

Recommended age limit is 14+ – Running time 45 minutes + after show Q & A

This will appeal to audiences who:
  • are curious, enjoy humour, ready to try something a little different.
  • enjoy the dynamic and thrill in action-filled entertainment for example manga, martial arts, action movies.
  • enjoy dark comedy with an edge of surrealism. Waiting for Godot meets the League of Gentlemen.
